Kitamura has a very wide portofolio of PTFE Micropowders. They are applied in:
- polymer compounding / tribology
- coating
- production of printing ink
- lubrication
The grades differenciate in molecular weight, particle form and size, the base PTFE chemistry, and the method of production.
Unique for Kitamura among PTFE micropowder producers is the availability of grades for high temperature applications (PEEK, PEI, PES, etc.) which can endure processing temperature of more than 400degree Celsius. Kitamura has some grades that stay stable at these temperatures and do not decompose over a very long period.
Also, because of this property, Kitamura PTFE is commonly used in POM/PTFE Compounds.
The high temperature stability leads to less decomposition products which could attack the POM. Therefore, Kitamura PTFE produced POM Compounds show very low odor when processed.
Several grades have FDA conformity, some grades also fullfill conformity by EU 10/2011.
